Bintan (1st - 3rd April 2011)

Photo Credits to Ng HC :)

The girls and I decided to do a short trip to Bintan to recharge ourselves. It was my first time to Bintan Resort and I absolutely fell in love with the place. I love the gentle sea breeze and how relaxed it made us all feel! We took the ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal earlyFriday morning and reached Bintan Island in less than an hour! To think that we are really that close to a great getaway! It cost about $250 person for 3D2N, inclusive of 2nights accomodation, 2 daily buffet breakfasts, ferry ride tw0-way and transfers to the resort two-way.

This pic was taken in the first room we were given - it was pretty small, not facing the beach and so we enquired about the costs of upgrading to a suite....

Well, for $300 top-up (for 2 nights), we managed to get a wonderful cosy suite with everything a girl could ask for :) You could say we were pretty excited and happy with the new room!

We didn't swim in the beach but it was gorgeous all the same, with its white sand and the waves rushing to shore.

That's me with a rather large plate of nasi lemak. The whole meal plus drink cost me $11. Everything in Bintan is in Sing Dollar. Pretty ex, I'd say. This was the cafeteria at the Entertainment Centre where they also have a bowling alley, karoke room, gym and some shops.

After 3 days and 2 nights of bliss, it was all sad faces around as it was time to say goodbye to Bintan Island :) I will be back!!!

KL wz de americanos (16-18 Jun 2010)

Well, the next time you plan to meet someone in KL at the Arrival Departure Hall, make sure you both are talking about the same airport! I arrived in KLIA and my cuzs arrived in LCCT. Upon realising we were in different terminals located way far away from each other, I travelled to LCCT on a paid shuttle bus service (RM$2.50). 20minutes later, we reunited and shared a maxicab (RM$167, 6pax) down to Traders Hotel (S$179, 2nights, per pax).

Then it was HELLO KUALA LUMPUR!!!!!!

The short trip was all I needed to break away from the mundane and tiring life I have in Singapore. I slept in, ordered room service lunch, watched tv, and I had dinner with two good frens from secondary school. I was also looking forward to going for my spa treatment at Berjaya Time Square Hotel at a price that I find reasonable and not overkill cut-throat (S$120, 135mins). It was AWESOME.

I also enjoyed staying up in the suite with the cuzs playing Sabotouer (even though I had no idea how to play it for most part of the game!), muching on fries, chilling out wid bec, jess, amy, jason and matthew. I also enjoyed the dinner we had along Jalan Alor. Everyone was so hungry they attacked the food without much talking or the usual click-click snap-snap photo-taking of food. I did not enjoy slamming the door with Jess's fingers caught in them.

The hotel we stayed in was awesome. Here's what I think of it:

I'll be back!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1st - 3rd May 2009)

This was a short getaway trip that will always be remembered for its long long coach ride that got us too exhausted to fully enjoy the time spent in KL. Apart from the travelling woes, we enjoyed ourselves very much shopping at Pavillion and KLCC, also the fantastic relaxing spa at the Berjaya Time Square Hotel and also the surprisingly good buffet spread we had for dinner and breakfast. The suite we stayed in was fairly large and hotel staff were quite efficient and very polite. I would recommend the Berjaya Time Square Hotel to anyone going to KL and need a place to stay. I paid S$216 for coach, 2 nights suite, 2 buffet breakfasts and taxes from a travel agency and quite frankly I feel its very worth it. Anyway here's some pics of the trip!

Melbourne... (12 - 23 Sep 2008)

yep can't imagine a month has passed since my return from Melbourne! Well the trip has given me the opportunity to sleep and sleep and sleep all I needed in the cold cold weather. Also, on very limited budget I managed to get tons of great shopping deals at Target and everywhere else. I love Melbourne and all their DFOs, their iced coffees, pizzas, pastas, shopping, weather, and oh I attended a garden wedding too. Fantastic. Of course coming home was like crap, like oh so soon, and oh back home already? Anyway here are some pics to share.
